Hello Fellow cakers!! I have a question for you. I have a routine to my cakes, but this weekend I am going out of town and my friend needs a cake for sunday. I usually bake on wednesday night for a saturday cake, and thursday for a sunday cake, but I will need to be done with this cake friday afternoon. If I bake on thursday and refridgerate the cake after I am done with it on Friday, will it be ok until Sunday? There will be no perishable fillings and probably some kind of pound cakes. Oh, it will also be covered in Fondant, and I use Sugarshacks icing. Give me your advice or opinions, I am stumped!!!
it should be fine.. I know I use her icing all the time and have done something similar.. but I left it in a cool room of my house to be picked up (it was a friend of mine). So if it is covered in fondant, it should be super fine... just remember that they should get it out of the fridg early enough in case it sweats.. needs time to warm up.
