I have 2 crank style sifters: an 8 cup and a 12 cup. Both are great. The 12 cup is a little awkward to hold when it's full, but it does the job very quickly.
After buying all the styles of sifters, my favorite is the sieve and a big spoon.
It's easier and I think takes less time.
My favorite part is that it can all go in the dishwasher.
I use a tamis sieve (also called a drum sifter). It basically looks like a cake pan but with mesh in the bottom. They come in all sizes and different sizes of mesh as well and are great not only for sifting, but also for pressing fillings through (to remove lumps), and things. I have several and I love them!
