I agree with Sharon - ganache is a godsend - learned alot about TT from sugarshack's dvd - definitely worth the investment. Don't give up, it's only a little bump in a long road of success!!

I havent actually made one yet, BUT I have Sugarshacks TT video, and she outlines EVERY step and demonstrates them. (From torting, filling, carving, ganache-ing, stacking, etc) I'm VERY confident that when the time comes, her video will make it as easy as possible!!

Do any of you know if it is against CC policy to post on CC a desire to buy someone's DVD's or other equipment used..? I don't really have the funds to buy the DVD new...Gosh I appreciate you guys (gals!). I don't know if I'm ready to get back on that horse yet...One of my good friends says to not make any decisions or do any cake stuff for a month and make a decision then....The thought of ANY type of cake right now gives me anxiety...

I don't know about that.

I wouldn't be able to put off doing a cake for an entire month...sometimes though, I wish I could.
