I am making a 2 tier cake for a friend's birthday. He likes bavarian cream and is wife likes creme brulee. I want to use these as fillings, but am not sure what flavor cake they would best pair up with. They do not want chocolate cake. My choices are white wasc, yellow wasc or french vanilla wasc. Opinions please....Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

grouse, grumble....how dare they not like chocolate cake!!!!!! (which is of course the very first thing I thought of!)

I vote: take one box of french vanilla and one box of yellow and use them together to make the cake -- subbing butter for the oil and milk for the water (let's be totally decadent!)

lighter and more vanillaly than yellow, not so cloyingly sweet as french vanilla.

should approach a good "donut" taste and both those fillings are good in donuts.

So Doug...you are recommending that FV/Y cake mixture for both fillings?
