I'm making my son's wedding cake two weeks and was wondering if you do anything special to the top teir that holds the topper? The cake is a 4 tier multi shaped cake, a light weight bride and groom dressed in camo will be on the top 6 inch round tier. This is my first wedding cake, so any help would be great !

If it a lightweight topper it will be fine. If it is a little heavy a dowel or two doesn't hurt. I don't dowel unless the topper is heavy or if it is top heavy.
