Hi Everyone,

I will be making a cake for my best friends 21st birthday next week and I want to use fondant. This will be the 2nd time I have ever covered a cake completely with fondant. My first attempt was using Wilton's fondant and it practically melted off of the cake. This time I am using Satin Ice. Does anyone have any tips when working with fondant? Anything will help...

Thanks!

if you claim. wilton almost melted off the cake... first time ever hearing this.. then WATCH out for the satin ice.. if you don,t work with that fast enough ... it will turn into elephant skin.. don,t roll any brand TOO THIN.. what ever icing you have underneath depends on how it behaves also.. hth
