I want to deliver the cake at 9:30 which will be served for lunch. It's fondant covered with SMBC on two layers and cream cheese icing on one layer. Is that too early? The delivery is only a few minutes from my house and I would take it out of the frig right before I left. I thought that way it would have time to sweat before everyone arrived at the lunch. Also due to another appointment, if I don't drop it off at 9:30, I would have to take it at 11:30 so in that case it would likely be sweating when everyone got there. Thoughts?

I think 930 will be fine. Just make sure that the person will be there to accept the cake. And just explain to them that the cake will sweat and that they should just leave it alone. Make sure they know that you're not responsible for anything that happens to the cake after you drop it off.
