My original plan was to make a fondant cake for my 1 yr old's bday, but no one likes fondant, even though I am using MMF or MFF. So I have scrapped the idea of fondant and moved on to flowers.
I love this cake (great job, OP)

I cant tell, are these RI flowers? Will people eat them? Or should I attempt this design with BC flowers?

those are little fondant daisys. made using a couple of size cutters. have you tried using a differant flavour in your fondant, perhaps people would like it then.

Definitely fondant flowers. But you could make RI flowers. I don't think most people eat fondant or RI flowers. I don't think I'd worry about whether they are going to eat the flowers though.

If they like chocolate and you can make modeling chocolate and work with it then it would be a tasty alternative to fondant.
