My Cookies Are Spreading After I Chilled Them! Grrrr

I want to make rainbow cookies for dd party. I used the pkg refrig. cookies. I rolled them put them back in the fridge to chill again. Baked at 350 for 7 minutes. then boom tghey are spread all out and ugly! plz help!

After you cut them and put them on the cookie sheet try freezing them for about 10 minutes then put them directly in the oven. They tend to hold their shape more when they are really cold. I bake my for 6 minutes on the middle rack then a few more till they get golden on top. Hope this helps

That's probably your problem.

I agree w/ indy if you have to use premade dough try her method of recutting, I have never ever managed to get frige cookie dough to not spread a fairly large amount. Good luck!

I think it's the pre-made dough and not how you're doing it. They always spread. Try the NFSC recipe.
