Well, I cant say it was a complete failure because I used it anyway but I wasnt real thrilled with it. I made my first FBCT, great concept if I could pull it off (Hate those stars). Any way, after freezing and removing the wax paper, I found that my image was distorted. It was stretched. My question is, was my icing to thick so that when I smoothed the back, it pulled? How thin should the icing be? I read the instructions here on CC but I dont recall it saying how thick or thin the icing should be. Mine was medium, I think. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I've only done a couple, and I'm pretty sure my icing was medium. What I did different, though, was to not use my spatula to smooth the back. I let it crust well, then dipped my finger in cornstarch and used my finger to just pat the icing smooth on the back. This also made sure that all the spaces were filled in. I found that the spatula was too unwieldy to use, and just started using my finger. HTH!
