I see pictures of all those topsy turvy cakes and usually they have great looking toppers - wires with cool things hanging off of them. I looked and looked to see if I could by them on the internet.

Are people making them? I want to make a very whimsical cake for a wedding, she does not want traditional at all. I am making it as her wedding gift but I don't want to scrimp. I want it to be awesome.

I think for the most part people make them. I dont knwo what colors you are thinking bu you could do some wires with gems or prisms hanging on them. Then a big gum paste bow on the top would be great. There are so many on the site if you pm the original baker and ask I am sure they will share how they did it.
