First time to make shoe, can I just use fondant or does it have to be gumpaste, or a mixture of both... As for the glue.. made of gumpaste or can glucose or piping gel work or what can I make it out of or just buy it already done?

The ones I have made have been out of gumpaste. I use gum glue to gue the pieces together. (a small amount of gumpaste dissolved in water to make the gum glue)

I made mine with half gumpaste and half fondant and used fondant glue made the same as above.
