Alyssa Milano's wedding cake is shown in the Aug 31 issue of People Magazine. It's made by Cheryl Kleinman of Brooklyn, NY. It is gorgeous! And Kleinman doesn't have a website!! (At least I can't find one.)
I don't have a scanner so I can't attach a picture of the cake, but does anyone know how she did that. I figured she took strips of fondant and layered them around the edge of the cake. I'm not a fondant baker, so it's all pretty tricky to me! I think this cake is exquisite!
(Sorry there's no picture here!)
Someone actually did post a photo of it the other day in a forum. I was searching for it to provide the link, but I couldn't find it. Sorry!
I saw that cake (WAY smaller, of course) a few weeks ago and the artist said she used a stiff buttercream (non crusting) and one of the really large piping tips. I didn't pay attention to which one 'cuz cause I figured it would depend on what final look you wanted. Stunning, eh?
