I need some ideas for a cake for a girl friend of mine...she loves marilyn monroe, and the party is a hollywood theme. I was thinking about making a film reel, directors board, but I don't know what to do about the marilyn monroe part?

Any ideas??

A teir cake with white fondant draped over it (like her white dress) and 2 forearms and hands made from molding chocolate posed like they are holding it from blowing up.

Just an idea... I have no idea about doing it unless you covered the cake in fondant and made the dress part out of pastillage. The "blown up" of the skirt produced by draping pastillage over a ball and bracing it up to dry.

Yeah... probably way more effort than you want to do, but it would be cool none the less.

Or do fondant draping around the bottom with the hands and move it up a teir in the back. Someone help me out here... what am I trying to say? lol
