The name is a nickname for a city where I used to live. Would that be confusing to people or would people who live here and are from that city be interested??? Or is it a stupid idea???

I think I would need to hear the name first.

I agree, I'd need to hear the name to have an opinion.

Ok - here's my thought. If it's like Chicago Cakes - and you don't live near Chicago it's going to confuse people. But I think if it's a nickname - you could probably get away with it.

Hope this helps.

LOL Ok here goes nothing...

Now hopefully I will not run into anyone online who has already registered the names I have picked...but I have searched them out and they are available in my location in Ontario Canada...

1. Life is Sweet
2. Sweet Revenge
3. Sweet Success
4. G's Cakes and Confections

I really like Sweet Revenge but my family says that if I ever want to do wedding cakes people might not choose me because of the name LOL

I am also partial to G's Cakes & Confections because my father was a Chef and his professional name was Garcia. I also have a little Characature of him that I think would be perfect for a business card or web site logo.

I Love the idea of using my dad's name but also wanted something cute and clever....

Anyhow those are my 4 name choices LOL... so Ladies and Gents of CC what do you think? Maybe you have a better suggestion? I am all a twitter with anticipation LOL

I think I'll go with......#4. I like the concept of a characture of your dad in a chef suit with a cake in his hand.

I think I like #4 also....it is sweet to think of your dad, plus it tells you exactly what it is....I drove by a shop last week and the large sign said Pink Daisy (can't remember exactly the flower, lol), wondered what is was, but asked a friend and she said it was a lunch restaurant. I would have never known. But your other choices are good too...at least I can tell it has to do with something sweet ![/b]

I like #1 and #4. I agree with the Sweet Revenge/wedding thing though. People just might not get the concept.
