Hi all...hoping someone can tell me how to shape a treasure chest cake? How do you do the lid? Thanks

i have saved several pics from this site.. there are so many... you can p/m the person that you like their cake..they will answer you quick.. i have saved from a p/m that i liked. try this.. hth

This site has a lot of how to including how to do the lid:

You could use wedges to prop up the lid or support systems (like dowels/bubble tea straws etc).

You will see a treasure chest cake I made in my pictures for a grooms cake -- I made the lid from rice kripie treats minus the butter. I made it about 6 days ahead of time and let dry very well, used a sharp knife to rake off the bumps as best I could and then covered in fondant - and it took 2 layers of fondant to still cover up the bumps well enough for me.

I used 3 9x13 cakes for the chest part with chocolate bc in between and then covered in fondant.
