Hello Everyone,

I'm fairly new to cake decorting and I'm planning on doing a baby shower cake in September. I was looking through all the cake photos on this site. How do I get the bubbles (like in the picture below) to have a "pearl" look to them?

Thanks for your help!

They look like they are rolled from white fondant, maybe even MMF, and then dusted with pearl dust. They looked dusted, not painted. Too cute, eh?

Thanks for the reply...yeah I love that cake.

Is MMF = Marshmallow Fondant?

Yes, MMF is marshmallow fondant. I have yet to try it, gonna do so this weekend on a birthday cake<G> but I hear it can be shinier than regular fondant and appears smoother. I've heard it tastes a lot better too.
