I'm full of questions today!

I am going to be using SPS for my support system in my tiered cakes for my business. Do those of you who use SPS charge the customer for it, take a deposit and have them return it, or just calculate it into the cost and let them dispose of it?

Also, same thing for large cake boards. I like to use plywood round boards I buy at the home improvement store because they are perfectly round and sturdy as heck. However, they cost about $5-$7 each. When I add the SPS plus the board, I'm at about $15-$17 extra just in support materials.

Just wondering how you pros handle this and what you do. Thanks!

I used to charge $20-$30 for "equipment" to cover the bottom board and SPS. No one ever complains.

Recently I raised the price to $10 per tier. No one ever complains.

Do you tell your customers that there is an additional charge for equipment then or do you just add it to the price?

Thanks for the help! icon_smile.gif

Never mind! I looked at your website and see how you worded it. I like that. Very self-explanatory. I think I'll add something like that to my website and order forms. Thanks! icon_smile.gif
