Hello:

I have to bake 100 cookies due next Friday, for the United Way fund raiser at my husband's job. I do not want to leave them for the last minute, I wanted to know, do you refridgerate decorated cookies with fondant and royal icing?

I will be making:
25 oatmeal cookies
25 chocolate chip cookies
50 sugar cookies decorated with fondant and royal icing..

Any suggestions will be appreciated..thank you!

I freeze sugar cookies with royal icing all the time and have never had a problem. I've never put them in the frig though.

Good luck!

My sugar cookies stay fresh for about 5 days. So I would bake them 4 days before the event and then decorate the 25 with RI 3 days before the event. Then I would decorate the remaining 25, two days before the event. I would bag "day 1's" RI cookies the same day that I decorated "day 2's" cookies. So on and so forth.

The other cookies I would just totally make and freeze them.
