hi everybody.Just got my computer back from the computer doctor. Man, did I miss this forum! Somebody wants me to do a Scottish themed cake. How do I do celtic knots for a border and how would I make a thistle flower. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

What medium are you planning on using?

I was thinking either buttercreme or gumpaste

For the celtic knots, I'd do royal icing and color flow.

For the thistle, either fondant 'body' with a buttercreme grass tip for the top, or something 3D.

If you want to pipe the celtic knot with bc I would personally use a round tip and make it look like it's weaving in in out (like a rope border).

xstitcher~ even though this wasn't MY post, thank YOU for that site direction! I never knew those products were out there! Little expensive, but what a time saver as well. Thank you! I would have done them by hand.
