hello fellow cake bakers! i'm about to attempt decorating a cake with fondant. this will be my first time using fondant...so any suggestions or advice? i'm making a gift box cake for a baby shower in a couple of weeks. i know practice is the key....but how is the best way to practice decorating without having to bake an actual cake? thanks!

(i've attached a picture of a cake i made using buttercream also.)

my advice:

after icing the cake, chill it for a few hours, spray a midst of water on the cake, then cover with fondant. icon_wink.gif
