I had my first real cake disaster this week. I made my second topsy turvy cake and the cake was too moist, so the side collapsed. I repaired, repaired, repaired, and the 13 year old customer was very happy, so all was not lost. I need a recipe for a icon_cry.gifgood homemade, dense in texture cake. Any ideas?

Yes Diane, it was a box with flour, sour cream, butter and sugar added to make the mix go further. It is a delicious recipe and I have had lots of compliments on the taste. But I need a denser (sp??) recipe.
