I wanted to know if I can substitute 1/2 cup of butter for 1/2 cup of margerine..
I have a cookie recipe and calls for 1 cup of butter but I only have 1/2 cup...and I dont feel like going to the market right now.
will it make a difference?
any suggestions will be appreciated..
Sometimes it makes a difference in the taste and texture. Personally, I used margarine in any recipe asking for butter for many years and everything tasted fine, but once I started trying the recipes with real butter, I liked the way the recipes came out using it much better.
