Hi all! I am going to try my hand at another FBCT, the last few I did you could see the lines from piping the icing onto the picture, how can I do it and make sure its smooth? Any suggestions? I use the icing recommended in the tutorial.

Not sure I can explain this right, but when I am done filling in I will let it rest for about 20 minutes. Then when I think it is crusted I will gently rub over it. It seems to make the lines not so noticeable. And then when I take out of freezer and quickly put on cake, let it sit for a few minutes and gently rub the lines with my finger. It usually smooths out. It is a little wet then so be careful not to get two colors mixed. I have tried the toothpick too, before you put in freezer run a toothpick through it to blend. Hope all this makes sense. Just find what works for you.
