I need to make a spiderman cake but they don't want the yuck taste you get with the red colouring. I was thinking about using buttercream icing and buying the cans of spray food colouring. Does anyone know if that has an after taste/bitter too it? If I use fondant will there be an after taste from the red colouring with it?
Any help or idea's are appreciated.
Thanks Sue

Americolor Super Red leaves no yucky after taste. The wilton spray mist used to have a minty flavor and after many people complained they supposedly change the formula but I have since tried it recently and it still has that minty smell which personally makes me want to hurl....There also should not be any after taste from fondant either.I color mone all the time and no yucky taste.
