I just finished making my template for a name, i am going to make the letters out of gumpaste and I am wondering I want it to be very sparkly, I want to use disco dust but im not really sure how to use it lol...do i let the letters dry completley before putting the disco dust on? or can i let them dry and then maybe brush the letters with something and then put the disco dust on?
TIA!

You will need moisture for the disco dust to stick to.

soo would i be able to make the letters ahead of time and then maybe mist them with water ? or would it just be best to add the dust right away after i cut the letters out?

I usually brush mine with egg white first.

You could lightly brush with water or piping gel.

Ok so after I cut out the letters and numbers I let them dry a bit. Then I lightly brushed them with piping gel (thank you tiggy2 ) and then dapped the disco dust on..and i absolutely love the look!!
Thanks everyone!!

Oh, that's gorgeous! I will be buying some disco dust whenever I see it. Where did you get it? I'm in Canada too.

I just checked out Scoop and Save website and I'm drooling! You're so lucky to have that kind of store nearby. All I have here is Michaels and one cake decorating supply store with much smaller inventory than yours. Anyways, we're off topic. Great job on your lettering and I'm happy the disco dust worked out for you!!!!
