During a Wilton class, I overheard a couple ladies from South America? mention to the instructor, something about making a type of sugar/gum paste(?) using corn? I asked the instructor what they were talking about but she never would say (keeping a secret to herself possibly?). This has stuck in my mind for a couple years, so now that I've found all these knowledgeable CC people, I wonder if anyone could possibly solve the mystery? icon_confused.gif

I've never heard of it. I know we have some people from SA on here, and that they speak English. Hopefully, they will see this and answer.

I can see how corn syrup would come into a conversation about sugarpaste/gum paste, or maybe corn flour (which is cornstarch), but nothing else--not massa or raw corn.
