I need cover a cake in very dark purple fondant, should I color the fondant or airbrush it? I have access to a professional cake decorator that can airbrush it for me if I choose that route.

Thx

If you use a pdr. color, you probably are ok, but some fondants want to tear if you put to much liquid color into them. Airbrush would be good...

If I'm going for a very dark colour I always colour the fondant first to a lighter version and then airbrush to get it really dark. I find that works best for me.
