How much cake batter in cups equals one pound?

OR

1 pound of cake batter equals_____ cups...

I'm not sure, but I think different recipes probably have a different weight. A recipe with sour cream would certainly weigh different then a non doctored mix. I have figured out how many cups for my different size pans, but never thought about weighing it.

I never thought about it either but a lady asked me... I'm using a vanilla WASC recipe
