Hello all, I am new to cake decorating and Cake Central and loving it. I recently bought crystal dust from GAS and tried it on a gumpaste rose and it came out spotted. Some areas had more color than ohters. How do I apply it so it looks even?

I usually tap the brush on the surface before applying it to the flower.
