I am making a Hollywood theme cake and I am trying to do the stars on the wire to stick in the top of the cake like this: [http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1390662]. I cant get the fondant to stay on the wire. I cut out 2 stars and sandwiched them together with the wire in the middle, and the wire just pulls right out. HELP!!

Dip the wire in water first, and leave to dry for a few hours before picking up.

Or, I saw a post a while ago where the person said they would heat the wire where you want the star to stay with a lighter. Then slide on the star and the heat will melt the fondant slightly and make it stick! I haven't tried it yet but a lot of people seemed to agree that this way worked well.

A little melted chocolate goes a long way too-- it only take a few minutes to harden- even less if you pop it in the fridge.
