I put fondant drape on a wedding cake and want to give it a satin look but every time I have applied pearl dust dry it seems to streak on the fondant and when I mix it with vodka it gives a silver look, what am I doing wrong? I dont have an airbrush machine and I need to figure something out as the wedding is this weekend. Please help!

No no no.....don't mix it with anything. Get a new blush brush, one of the big poofy rounded ones. Put it on dry with that. Dust it.

Argh.....meaning, dab it with the big blush brush. Don't make swiping motions, just dab it.
