I've recently noticed some different coverings on cake boards at a few weddings I've in particular looked like a cross between wax and tissue paper and was textured. It really made a lovely presentation. I know I may not be describing it very well, but does anyone know where to find anything like this? I've done numerous google searches but no luck.

Does anyone have a good source for ordering food safe paper/coverings? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions icon_biggrin.gif !

...........looked like a cross between wax and tissue paper ..........

No idea but my suggestion is to think outside the box. Look at *everything!* to see if you can somehow use it in cake decorating.
Fabric; plastic tablecloths; wrapping papers; freezer paper; foil(s); etc, etc. all can be used.

I often roll out fondant and fit it to my board. Some people use cake pedestals and don't need any kind of board. Some people use scrapbook paper and then put contact paper over the scrapbook paper.

There are so many things you can do!
