A customer requested a camouflage cake for her little boy, and i have no idea where to begin!! Any tips or ideas for this????

get pieces of different colors and roll it out.

Camo cakes are pretty easy to do. You can look at the one I did in my pics..RosieC .....I just made random patterns...outlined with a round tip and filled in and smoothed with Viva. Don't try to do the whole cake and then smooth. I did small sections at a time and then stopped and smoothed. Good luck with yours...there are many here to get ideas from.
