I'm a forum posting hog but I'm very new to making cakes. I've made a three tiered stacked birthday cake where the cakes sat right on top of each other. I've been asked to do a three tiered wedding cake where each layer is separated by pillars. I've read instructions on this and I've tried desperately to find a video on this but with no luck.

Any advice on how to do this? And I'll be transporting it in my car which I'm going to make the back seat as level as I can. With each tier standing on pillars... should I just decorate each cake with the pillars poking out and then stack them when I get to the venue?

Any help would be very much appreciated!!!! icon_smile.gificon_smile.gif

Sharon's right! Do NOT drive with them stacked!

Scary thought! You'll have cake every where if you do. Definitely assemble at the venue.

Good luck.
