I've just bought 20lbs of Satin Ice fondant, I've kinda tired making my own fondant. I've never used Satin Ice before but I heard a lot of good review about it. I've just wondering if I can put small amount of flavoring in it. Do I need to put it in the fridge after I open it? Thank you.

Hi! I use Satin Ice all the time (and love it). You don't need to refrigerate after opening, just keep it well sealed (in it's plastic wrap and container). I have mine in a spare bedroom and the summer fluctuating temps haven't bothered it.

Thank you Kimmers971. I cannot wait to decorate my cake with Satin Ice next week. By the way, can I put flavoring in it? I hope it's not gonna change the texture.

I have also used Satin Ice Fondant and love it. I've heard that you can put flavoring in it with no problem. I haven't tried yet, but wouldn't hesitate to do so. I have put coloring in it and that has worked out just fine.

You don't need to put a flavor in it. It already comes vanilla flavored. I would be afraid adding a flavor wouldn't taste good with the existing flavor. But that's just me.
