I was doing some math on how many cakes I'd need to make, to turn a certain profit each month. I currently do this as a hobby for friends and family. I was curious how many cakes the full time decorators turn out each week, on average. I work full time at a day job, so it would be difficult to do more than one or two a week, I would think. Please share your experience. Thanks!

I do 1 - 7 wedding cakes a week. Throw in a few party cakes and it's a week.

Leahs - do you have any help? Seven seems crazy -- ha ha. I would think five was doable full time. Just the delivery alone would take a lot of time. How do you handle so many? What is your market like in KY -- high, middle, low priced?

DH helps with deliveries and does some of the shopping. Otherwise it's just me. And those 7 were actually spread out over a 4 day weekend. icon_smile.gif
