Hi Everyone,

I was wondering how many flowers it roughly takes to put on top of a 6" cake? I have just done my first wedding cake (3 tier), and want to put gumpaste roses on top. How many do you think I will need, if they are a medium size?

Also, does anyone have a tutorial on how to put together a rose spray?

Thanks
Pauline

All I can suggest is to have some fun with math. The area of a circle is pi r squared. So, 3 times 3 = 9 times 3.14 = about 28 square inches.

I have no idea what you call a medium rose. If, for example the rose is 2" square (I know its round), then each rose would cover 4 square inches.

28 / 4 = 7
