How Do I Go About Making A Baseball Hat?

I' ve never made a baseball hat before and this cake is for someone who is very critical. Please help!!

I made one using the Wilton sports ball pan. I used half, then cut a piece of fondant to look like the "rim" of the cap. I think thats what it is called.

I am sure you can stack a couple of round pans and carve it to make the ball shape.
