Fresh Fruit On Cupcakes: Fridge Or Room Temp?

I just made strawberry-lemonade cupcakes with strawberry BC and a fresh lemon wedge on top. I'm delivering them today to be eaten tomorrow evening. I don't normally keep them in the fridge when they don't have they lemon on them. Do you think they should be in the fridge until tomorrow with the fresh lemon on them? I've read fresh fruit can get a little dicey at room temp.
