I am looking for some guidance. I want to do abutter cream wedding cake that has aspects of the wedding dress on it. The dress has embroidery on it, some pearls, some silvery thread and some of the silvery bugle beads also. The satin sash like around the middle will be fondant. How can I replicate the embroidery? Can I do royal icing on buttercream? Should I try fondant cutouts? Any suggestions? I'll try and attach a photo of the dress. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I think the photo is too big.

I've done brush embroidery and it is very easy but time consuming (check my photos). There are a couple of videos on Youtube from Serious Cakes and Ron Ben Israel (he used a different technique). Check it out.
