So I posted this in the sugar forum, but haven't gotten a response, so this may be a better place for this question. for those of you who sell the sugar beer bottle cakes, how much do you charge? Also, any hints on what size cakes are used for the metal "tubs" would be great!!!

I did one, its in my photos, it's 8 inch round by 4 inches tall and I would not charge less than $200!!!!!! Its a TON of work, lots of different icing work, sugar is tricky to work with, ice is hard to get white unless you use the isomalt which I cannnot find and refuse to pay $50 for it. So no less than $200. People are paying $150 for my small wine crate cake with no problem.

I hope that helps!

ps. I live in Virginia Beach, Va so I think where you live may be a huge factor too, in DC I would probably charge way more.....I used to live in Northern VA and the cost of living is way higher there
