I've been following the Scratch off Yellow cake thread so I made the "Great American Cakes" recipe. I torted the cake and made a lemon curd and raspberry filling. Made buttercream icing with merengue powder. Does anyone else agree that stuff is a pain in the butt? I couldn't get points on my leaves and my roses were ragged on the edges.
Overall I'm pleased. Now I need to find some people to eat the cake.
Start Wilton classes tomorrow (Class I). I am soooo excited!!

It sounds delicious and looks really good for being your first cake and NEVER even taking the classes. I'm sure that you will love your classes!
I have only taken class 1 wilton and getting ready to start class 2. wow that cake is phenom! Congrats!
