whenever I put a pudding filling in my cakes it seems to melt into the cake layer. I need a filling that will will hold up, like a chocolate fudge or very thick pudding. Can someone give me some help?

Thank you so much

Ganache is a great filling. It is thick and holds up well.

I always put a thin coating of buttercream over each layer I am going to fill with any filling to hopefully prevent that problem. You might also try adding some powdered sugar, maybe, to your filling to help give it some "thickness".

Try putting a thin layer of butter cream on your layer BEFORE you add your pudding or any gooey type filling. The buttercream will act as a shield from your fillings absorbing into the cake. HTH! Good luck!
