I'm making my first wedding cake with pillars and I want to make sure you think I've thought this through correctly. It is a 3 square cakes so two sets of pillars. I found square SPS (is that what it is called?) in the Wilton book. Thought I'd order two of them, in the size of the middle and top layer. Hope I get the correct pillars to go with the plates. Do I need cake boards with these plates?

I know I still need to dowel. It is a fondant cake. I'm glad she's going with artifical daisies instead of live ones.

What else can you tell me about getting ready to make this cake? Anything important I am missing?

Thanks!

j.
