i am making fathers day cake and my 6" cake i put raspberry with ganache filling and i covered with buttercream. How do i make sure that it does not slide?

I am sacred i think it slides?

The only thing I can think of is to damn the cake with BC and then fill it w/the ganache.

It sounds like you've already made it. (?) Are you worried about the top sliding off? Stick a small dowel in the center. Are you worried about it sliding off the cake board? Put some icing on the cake board and then place the cake on it.

i already made it. and while i was covering the cake with BC it was sliding so now i put the cake in the fridge. so i can cover it with fondant.

So i dont want it to slide. I will guess put the dowel in the middle.

A couple of straws cut a little lower than the height of the cake will keep the layers from sliding.
