I am going to do a cake and the client has a 12lb disney princess snow globe that she wants on top of a 1 or 2 layer cake. I have never done anything on top of a cake and I'm unsure what to use so I don't ruin the cake. I thought about using the pillars but I am unsure if it will hold the weight of the snowglobe. Any ideas?

Have you considered SPS? I would charge the cost of the support system to them. There is a great thread in How Do I on using SPS. I love it and I think it would hold the snowglobe no problem. I am not sure what the smallest diameter is but you could use a 6ich plate and cover it with something pretty...then place the snowglobe on top.

You can purchase SPS at Global Sugar art or o a s i s cake supply...you'll have to google them ...anyway compare prices and shipping. I've been so pleased with my SPS system. Saves me a lot of hastle and stress.
