I never did a buttercream transfer but seem a few cakes on her decorated with the FBCT. I noticed that the transfer looked a bit wet (condensation) and did not really blend it with the actual cake (my opinion). So I thought about an alternative. I had some teekcake icing left over, I trace a dolphin out of one of my kids coloring book. I first trace the paper on wax paper and flip the wax paper and started icing the trace picture outline first then fill the rest of the picture. It is best to fill in the small details first then the bigger details. I let the transfer sit on the counter for 3-4 days (can't remember). I let it sit on the counter so the top can be crust hard. When you touch the transfer the top should be slightly hard to the touch. I then took a piece of cake cardboard with wax paper tape around it to make a mock cake. I then iced the cardboard with wax paperso that the transfer can have something to stick.
