I love the idea of using Sharon's recipe after getting her awesome DVDs!!! But, does anyone know much buttercream you need to make in order to fill a 5 quart or a 6.5 quart KA mixer? I don't want to screw this up because the hi ratio shortening is so expensive!

I believe the recipe that comes in the DVD is for a 5 qt. I think my KA mixer is a 4.5 qt and that recipe fills my bowl to the top.

I have the 6 qt (not heard of the 6.5 qt. one??) The list is:

2 lb. 13 oz. shortning
6 lb. powdered sugar
5 Tablespoons flavoring
20 Tablespoon hot coffee creamer

NOW - I need measurements for my Hobart 20 qt. that I am picking up tomorrow!! icon_confused.gif
