I'd like to make my husband a beer bottle cake for his birthday in the next few days. I've had some ladies on here help me out with the instrucions to do this. I'm having some MAJOR problems with the making the mold. Someone suggestion the Amazing Putty Mold. I tried it and found it hard to mold and spread over the entire bottle and then it set up too fast. Does anyone else have any ideas? I know there is a thread that says to use latex. I'd like something easy, I'm so new to this, but would love to try. thank you in advance.

I used mold builder from Michaels. You have to apply 12 or 13 coats but it works very well. http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-624303-beer.html+bottle
